The Full Story
The Queer Party Project is a community-driven, grassroots initiative founded in January 2024, based out of Miami, Florida. Our mission is to support LGBTQIA2+ individuals experiencing financial hardship, whether they’re facing housing crises, in need of gender-affirming care, or navigating other critical expenses. Fueled by the passion and resilience of our local queer community, the Queer Party Project celebrates one honoree each month, raising essential funds through high-energy events featuring raffles, donations, and social media outreach.

One of our standout events, Steer Queer, has become a local sensation in Miami and Broward, uniting community members for memorable nights filled with solidarity, joy, and celebration. Steer Queer and other Queer Party Project events provide a safe and welcoming space for LGBTQIA2+ individuals to feel seen, supported, and celebrated. Through these gatherings, together we’ve have helped raised over $10,000—an achievement that reflects the power of love, community, and the dedication of those who believe in our cause.

Entirely volunteer-run and nonprofit, the Queer Party Project operates solely for the benefit of the community, with all proceeds going directly to individuals in need. Our vision is to grow beyond Miami, creating more safe spaces and fundraising events in cities throughout Florida. With each party, we aim to expand our reach, increase our impact, and ensure that queer lives across the state have the support they deserve.

Event Coordinator
Susej "Teal" Perez
Teal Perez, is the Event Coordinator behind all our memorable events for The Queer Party Project. With a passion for supporting LGBTQIA2+ individuals and fostering community, she carefully crafts spaces where people can come together, celebrate, and lift each other up. Known for her creativity and dedication, Teal brings warmth and energy to every gathering, ensuring each one reflects the love, resilience, and unity that define our mission. As a queer woman, she is committed to building solidarity within the community and expanding The Queer Party Project’s reach across Florida.
Donations Manager
Lily Beckmann
Lily, our Donations Manager, grew up immersed in the vibrant and resilient Ft. Lauderdale gay scene, surrounded by the love and support of her family. This upbringing instilled in her a deep commitment to the LGBTQIA2+ community and a natural drive to give back. With a passion for connecting people to our cause, Lily plays an essential role in The Queer Party Project, helping us secure the donations that fuel our mission. Her dedication and background make her an invaluable part of our team, embodying the spirit of family, unity, and love that defines our project.
